Disclaimer

1. Breeding Practices & Health

  • Genetic Screening: While we conduct health tests (e.g., hip scoring, DNA testing for breed-specific conditions), we cannot guarantee puppies will remain free of hereditary disorders.

  • Breed Standards: Puppies are bred to align with standard breeding guidelines, but natural variations in size, coat, or temperament may occur.

  • Vaccinations & Deworming: Puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, but buyers must continue veterinary care post-purchase.

2. Ownership Responsibilities

  • Home Environment: Buyers are responsible for providing safe, humane living conditions compliant with South Africa’s Animal Protection Act No 71 of 1962.

  • Behavioral Training: Warm Hug Paws is not liable for behavioral issues arising from inadequate training, socialization, or neglect.

  • Rehoming Policy: If unable to keep the dog, contact us first. Unauthorized rehoming voids all health guarantees.

3. Financial & Legal

  • Payment Terms: Deposits are non-refundable. Full payment is required before puppy collection.

  • Sales Finality: No returns/exchanges except for congenital defects diagnosed by a licensed vet within 14 days.

  • Pricing: Listed prices exclude VAT, microchipping fees, or interstate transport costs (if applicable).

4. Ethical Compliance

  • Anti-Puppy Mill Stance: We adhere to the SPCA’s Breeding Guidelines and condemn mass-production practices.

  • Breeding Limits: Breeding dams retire after 3 litters or at 5 years old, whichever comes first.

5. Liability Limitations

  • Injury/Illness: We are not liable for accidents, injuries, or illnesses occurring post-transfer.

  • Breed-Specific Risks: Buyers acknowledge inherent risks in toy/miniature breeds (e.g., hypoglycemia, tracheal collapse).
